Reception children at Egerton benefit from a large spacious classroom and outdoor area, well resourced to inspire their inquisitive minds.

Our large classroom features a broad range of areas in which children engage in learning. Our cosy reading den with a puppet theatre and story telling corner encourage a love of reading from the very start of the primary school journey, whilst the modelling station, creation corner and writing area encourage the development of fine motor skills.

Popular role play areas include the home corner, small world and construction area, allowing little minds to explore and engage in explorative play. Themed role play areas change regularly, providing fresh opportunities for pupils to explore and learn through their play.

Our fabulous outdoor area hosts a large muddy kitchen and garden, and a canopy to ensure our continuous provision extends outside even on rainy days. Children enjoy bespoke areas for construction, camping, den building, vehicle building, water play, weaving and more….. ensuring all children have rich opportunities to engage in happy, explorative play, whatever their interests.
